Stone and Levels
A complete garden design and build project.
Excavation of the site was carried out to form the three defined levels.
Gabions were used to retain the level and filled with reclaimed walling stone. Cumbrian sandstone used for the main terrace and steps. Wildflower lawn, native trees/shrubs and bulbs were planted.
A sustainable drainage system (SUDS) driveway formed from gravel and a recycled plastic grid system formed the lower level with a vegetable planting area. A cobble zone allows the steel fire bowl to be located.
Timber seats and seating pods were design by Richard J Day and built on site.
A remote controlled lighting system completes the design installation.
