City Courtyard
A complete garden design and build project for city garden. Excavation of the site was carried out to form a level surface and to remove unwanted tree roots and hidden concrete platform. During the house refurbishment the design implemented a level house to garden layout.The new rear house doors were supplied with a hidden drain system.
The materials used are sandstone tiles and Dutch clay pavers laid end to end. A bespoke timber fence. A timber frame for the use of a hammock and also gymnastic rings which supports the growth of a vine. Remote controlled lighting and a structured planting scheme throughout using five Acer cultivars which create five distinctive forms.
The end of the garden is a bespoke studio designed and constructed by Earthcraft Ltd on site. Cedar redwood panels to the exterior and a marine ply finish within with bespoke doors and picture windows. The studio is a garden gym. The studio also houses an isolated fuse board controlling the lighting in the garden and the studio lights and four sockets.
